Perfect amount of pressure as well and with my incomplete spinal cord injury I was hesitant, but Juan was perfect. I would highly recommend him and wish that he was there more then one day, Tuesday, a week. The cost was also very good and reasonable. I was expecting it to cost more and was pleasantly surprised, even with my benefits covering most of it. It was only $110 and I only had to fork over $10. I would do it even without benefits now that I've had Juan work on me. You won't be sorry. I promise.
Emily Victoria2024-05-02I am only giving a 4 star review because the only thing I don’t enjoy there is that they have the scented infusers there; which me having migraines…some days that really bothers me. Other than that, I have been going to Avella Pain Clinic now for 4 or 5 years. I was seeing an amazing doctor at McMaster for my migraines, until she retired. I was getting tossed around at McMaster in regards to my apts- I usually see the doctor once a month and I was given an apt 7 months later…so that didn’t work. My old doctor got me into Avella since I was having so many issues at McMaster. Since being diagnosed with chronic migraines back when I was 14-15 now 31, it’s only in the past 4-5 years of going to Avella that I have been able to have a semi normal life. I am on a medical regimen now thanks to Dr Sharma and Dr Pouperri are my main pain specialists. They listen, care, and actually try anything and everything to get you back to youraar before your pain ( as much as possible at least ). I am currently getting nerve blocks monthly, Botox quarterly, Vyepti infusions quarterly as well as other daily meds that I take. I can’t say enough that I really don’t know what I would be doing, or where I would be if it weren’t for Avella. Despite having to drive from Cambridge to Burlington every month- unless I magically wake up without migraines- Avella pain clinic will always be my first choice, and my first referral to someone needing a pain specialist.

I had 3-4 a week when I used to only get 1 a month. It was determined during my first appointment that I have hormonal based triggers. I opted to do the Botox injections in hopes of reducing the frequency of taking my migraine pain reliving medication. This has completed CHANGE MY LIFE! I am so thankful I found this clinic because they helped me afford the injections without insurance. I am back to one migraine a month and cried out of happiness that my life has finally returned to normal. I just received my second injection today, and cannot wait to see how much more my migraines improve. I’d you are on the fence please give this place a try and take control of your life again. You won’t be disappointed!
