Avella’s Rapid Access Clinic provides care for patients who already have a referral from their primary care physician, walk-in clinic, or ER. By starting with a referral, this service helps streamline the process and get patients the treatment they need more quickly.

Requirements
Referral
A referral from your primary care physician, walk-in clinic, or ER is required. It should include relevant medical history and the reason for seeking specialized pain management.
Documentation
Bring any related medical records, imaging results (e.g., X-rays, MRIs), or test results to your appointment.
Eligibility
This service is available to patients experiencing chronic pain who have already received an initial evaluation and a referral from a healthcare provider.
The referral MUST be from a physician or nurse practitioner (it can not come from any other type of health care provider).


At Avella Pain Clinic, the majority of our services are covered by OHIP. We also work with automobile insurance providers through HCAI, extended health insurance providers, WSIB, and Veterans Affairs for specific coverage related to car accident injuries, work-related injuries, and more.
